Flake System

Flake Flooring System

Color-flake systems broadcast decorative chips into a base coat, then seal it under a clear topcoat — adding texture, hiding minor concrete imperfections, and giving you a huge range of color combinations.

What's Included

Built for the way you'll use it.

Hides Minor Imperfections

The textured, multi-tone finish is far more forgiving of small surface flaws than a solid color coat.

Added Slip Resistance

The flake texture provides natural traction underfoot — a practical choice for garages and wet areas.

Wide Color Range

Blend flake colors to match your space, from subtle neutrals to bold statement combinations.

Durable Topcoat

A clear protective topcoat seals the flake and stands up to the same daily wear as our other systems.

Consistent, Professional Finish

Broadcast application gives an even, high-end look across the entire floor.

How Flake Systems Work

Broadcast, cure, seal — a system, not a single coat.

After the concrete is ground and prepped, we apply a pigmented base coat and broadcast color flakes into it while it's still workable, either to full saturation or a lighter scatter depending on the look you want. Once cured, we scrape back any texture and apply a clear protective topcoat that locks the flakes in and gives the floor its durability and sheen.

The color combinations and blend ratios are something we'll walk through with you directly — sample chips and options during your free visit, not just a photo on a website.

Ideal for:

  • ✓ Garages wanting texture and hidden imperfections
  • ✓ Basements and rec rooms
  • ✓ Retail spaces wanting a distinctive look
  • ✓ Pool decks and covered outdoor areas
Common Questions

Questions about this service.

Can I choose custom flake color combinations?

Yes — we'll bring sample chips to your free visit so you can see and choose real combinations rather than guessing from photos.

Is a flake system more expensive than a solid color?

It typically costs somewhat more than a solid color system due to the extra material and labor step — we'll give you an exact comparison in your written quote.

How slip-resistant is a flake floor?

The texture itself adds meaningful traction over a smooth solid coat, and additional slip-resistant additives can be included in the topcoat if needed.
